Elroy A. Kalme Lopez, D.P.M

Program Director, Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency

The podiatry residency program places emphasis not only on the diagnosis and treatment of the foot pathology but also the general health and well-being of the patient. The podiatry resident receives training in family medicine, wound care, geriatrics, psychosocial skills and behavioral psychology following the tenets of the care of the total patient. The podiatry residency program provides opportunities to gather experience and exposure in general podiatric medicine and surgery skills in preparation to meet the requirements to board certification by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

The Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program, a three year program, is accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.
